Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian estetika t-shirt berbahan katun combed dengan teknik patchwork dan appliqué berdasarkan aspek estetika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen jenis pre-experimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk t-shirt berbahan katun combed dengan teknik patchwork dan appliqué yang dinilai menggunakan rating scale. Instrumen angket terdiri dari 19 pernyataan dengan skala pengukuran rating scale yang diberikan kepada lima panelis ahli di bidangnya. Penilaian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori estetika menurut A.A.M. Djelantik (1999) terdiri dari aspek wujud atau rupa, bobot atau isi, dan penyajian atau penampilan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penilaian keseluruhan terhadap kelima produk t-shirt memperoleh persentase sebesar 91,78% dengan kategori sangat baik. berdasarkan aspek wujud atau rupa yang terdiri dasi sub aspek unsur dan prinsip desain mendapatkan nilai 89,47% dengan kategori sangat baik. Aspek bobot atau isi yang terdiri dari sub aspek gagasan atau ide yang mengacu pada sumber inspirasi budaya hip-hop mendapat nilai 90,93% dengan kategori sangat baik. Sementara aspek penyajian atau penampilan yang terdiri dari sub aspek sarana atau media memperoleh nilai 94,93% dengan kategori sangat baik. produk dengan penilaian tertinggi diperoleh desain lima dengan nilai sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat baik serta desain satu memperoleh nilai terendah sebesar 89,05% dengan kategori sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Penilaian estetika, t-shirt, patchwork, appliqué, sisa produksi, katun combed. ***** This study aimed to determine the aesthetic assessment of combed cotton T-shirts created using patchwork and appliqué techniques based on aesthetic aspects. The research employed a pre-experimental method with a descriptive quantitative approach. The study produced five combed cotton T-shirt designs utilizing patchwork and appliqué techniques, which were evaluated using a rating scale. The questionnaire instrument consisted of 19 statements measured on a rating scale and was assessed by five expert panelists in the field.The assessment was conducted based on the aesthetic theory proposed by A.A.M. Djelantik (1999), which includes the aspects of form, content, and presentation. The results showed that the overall evaluation of the five T-shirt designs achieved a percentage score of 91.78%, categorized as very good. The aspect of form, consisting of the sub-aspects of design elements and design principles, obtained a score of 89.47%, categorized as very good. The aspect of content, consisting of the sub-aspect of ideas inspired by hip-hop culture, achieved a score of 90.93%, categorized as very good. Meanwhile, the aspect of presentation, consisting of the sub-aspect of media and materials, obtained a score of 94.93%, categorized as very good. Design five received the highest score of 92%, categorized as very good, while design one obtained the lowest score of 89,05%, which was still categorized as very good.
