Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan kemampuan memahami, menafsirkan, dan menggunakan konsep matematika untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu faktor yang diduga memengaruhi kemampuan numerasi adalah kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 249 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data kepercayaan diri dikumpulkan melalui angket, sedangkan kemampuan numerasi diukur menggunakan tes numerasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri kategori sedang (76,3%) dan kemampuan numerasi kategori sedang (67%). Hasil analisis regresi logistik biner menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,629 (p > 0,05), nilai odds ratio (Exp(B)) sebesar 1,007, dan nilai Nagelkerke R Square sebesar 0,001. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta Barat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri bukan merupakan faktor yang secara signifikan memengaruhi kemampuan numerasi, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang relevan. One factor suspected to influence numeracy ability is self-confidence. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-confidence on the numeracy ability of State Islamic Senior High School students in West Jakarta. The study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research sample consisted of 249 students selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Self-confidence data were collected through questionnaires, while numeracy ability was measured using numeracy tests. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and inferentially using binary logistic regression. The results showed that most students had a moderate level of self-confidence (76.3%) and Moderate numeracy skills (67%). The binary logistic regression analysis results showed a significance value of 0.629 (p > 0.05), an odds ratio (Exp(B)) of 1.007, and a Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.001. These results indicate that there is no significant influence of self-confidence on the numeracy skills of students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in West Jakarta. This finding shows that self-confidence is not a factor that significantly affects numeracy skills, so further research considering other relevant factors is needed.
