Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) berbantuan soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik SMA Negeri 6 Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling untuk menetapkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Tiga soal uraian yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitas digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk menilai kemampuan penalaran matematis pada materi trigonometri. Sebelum hipotesis penelitian diuji, dilakukan uji prasyarat data berupa uji normalitas dengan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas dengan uji Fisher. Selanjutnya, pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikansi (α) sebesar 5% dan diperoleh nilai thitung = 5,474 lebih besar dari t(0,05;80) = 1,664, yang berarti tolak H0. Artinya, nilai rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran SSCS berbantuan soal HOTS (69,931) lebih tinggi dibandingkan peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (58,267). Perhitungan besar pengaruh menggunakan uji Cohen’s Effect Size memperoleh nilai sebesar 1,209 yang termasuk dalam kategori besar dengan persentase 88%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SSCS berbantuan soal HOTS terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik di SMA Negeri 6 Bekasi. ***** This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model assisted by Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on mathematical reasoning ability of students at SMA Negeri 6 Bekasi. This research used a quasi-experimental method. The research sample was conducted using the Cluster Random Sampling technique to determine the experimental class and the control class. Three essay questions that have been tested for validity and reliability are used as an instrument to assess mathematical reasoning ability on the topic of trigonometry. Before the research hypothesis was tested, prerequisite data tests were conducted, including a normality test using the Liliefors test and a homogeneity test using the Fisher test. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was conducted using a t-test with a significance level (α) of 5%, resulting tcount = 5,474 greater than t(0,05;80) = 1,664, which means H0 is rejected. This indicates that the average score mathematical reasoning ability of students taught using the SSCS learning model assisted by HOTS questions (69,931) is higher than that of the students taught using the conventional learning model (58,267). The calculation of the effect size using Cohen’s Effect Size test obtained a value of 1,209, which is categorized as large category with a percentage of 88%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a effect of the SSCS learning model assisted by HOTS questions on the mathematical reasoning ability of students at SMA Negeri 6 Bekasi.
