Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product) berbantuan Nearpod terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026 yang terdiri atas 6 kelas, yaitu VII-A, VII-B, VII-C, VII-D, VII-E, VII-F. Berdasarkan jumlah kelas VII yang terdapat pada SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta, diambil 1 kelas dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling terpilih, yaitu kelas VII F. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Data diperoleh melalui tes menulis teks prosedur sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan menulis teks prosedur setelah diterapkannya metode PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product). Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 61,3 meningkat menjadi 81,3 pada posttest. Uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi pretest sebesar 0,821 dan posttest sebesar 0,124, keduanya lebih besar dari 0,05. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), sehingga H₁ diterima dan H₀ ditolak. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari penggunaan metode PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product) berbantuan Nearpod terhadap keterampilan menulis teks prosedur peserta didik. Dengan demikian, metode dan pembelajaran ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis prosedur pada peserta didik SMP. ***** The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product) method assisted by Nearpod on the writing skills of procedural texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year consisting of 6 classes, namely VII-A, VII-B, VII-C, VII-D, VII-E, VII-F. Based on the number of classVII in SMP Negeri 149 Jakarta, 1 class was taken using a selected purposive sampling technique, namely class VII F. This study used an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were obtained through a procedural text writing test before and after the application of the learning method. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in procedural text writing skills after the implementation of the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product) method. The average pretest score of 61.3 increased to 81.3 in the posttest. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with a pretest significance value of 0.821 and a posttest significance value of 0.124, both greater than 0.05. The results of the hypothesis test using a paired sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05), so H₁ was accepted and H₀ was rejected. This proves that there is a positive and significant effect of the use of the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Product) method assisted by Nearpod on students' procedural text writing skills. Thus, this learning method can be an effective alternative in developing procedural writing skills in junior high school students.
