Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Guided Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 236 Jakarta pada materi Statistika. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest-only control group design, di mana pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling sehingga terpilih kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Selama proses pembelajaran, kelas eksperimen mendapatkan perlakuan menggunakan model GDL dengan pendekatan PMRI, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Data kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dikumpulkan melalui posttest berupa lima soal uraian pada materi Statistika yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t satu arah pada taraf signifikansi 5%, diperoleh nilai t_hitung=3,113 lebih besar dari t_((0,05;69))=1,995 sehingga H_0 ditolak, yang berarti rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Adapun perhitungan besar pengaruh menggunakan Cohen’s effect size menghasilkan nilai d=0,739 dengan persentase sebesar 76%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran GDL dengan pendekatan PMRI berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP Negeri 236 Jakarta. **** This study aims to determine the effect of the Guided Discovery Learning model with the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach on students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability at SMP Negeri 236 Jakarta. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The samples of this study were students of class VII A as the experimental class and class VII B as the control class at SMP Negeri 236 Jakarta. The experimental class received learning using the GDL model with the PMRI approach, while the control class received conventional learning. Students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability was measured using a posttest consisting of five essay questions on Statistics that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of hypothesis testing using a one-tailed t-test at a significance level of 5% showed that the value of t_calculated=3.113 was greater than t_((0,05;69))=1.995. Therefore, H₀ was rejected, indicating that the average mathematical conceptual understanding ability of students in the experimental class was higher than that of students in the control class. The calculation of Cohen's effect size produced a value of 0.739 with an effect percentage of 76%, which is categorized as a medium effect. Therefore, the application of the Guided Discovery Learning model with the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach had an effect on students' mathematical conceptual understanding ability at SMP Negeri 236 Jakarta.
