Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Cimanggis, Depok. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi dan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling dan melibatkan 48 siswa, yang terdiri atas 24 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 24 siswa pada kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran RADEC, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model Direct Instruction. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 64,79 menjadi 88,95, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol meningkat dari 65,83 menjadi 75,21. Hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor 0,6414 (cukup efektif), sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh skor 0,2484 (kurang efektif). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Hₐ diterima. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran RADEC berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Cimanggis, Depok. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model on the explanatory text writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in Cimanggis District, Depok. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique and involved 48 students, consisting of 24 students in the experimental class and 24 students in the control class. The experimental class was treated using the RADEC learning model, while the control class used the Direct Instruction model. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test and hypothesis test. The research results show that the students' skills in writing explanatory texts in the experimental class experienced a higher improvement compared to the control class. The average pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class increased from 64.79 to 88.95, while in the control class they increased from 65.83 to 75.21. The N-Gain test results showed that the experimental class obtained a score of 0.6414 (moderately effective), while the control class obtained a score of 0.2484 (less effective). The hypothesis test results show a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, the RADEC learning model has a positive and significant effect on the explanation text writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in Cimanggis District, Depok.
