Abstract
Siswa tunarungu mengalami keterbatasan dalam penguasaan kosakatanya, dengan kurangnya penguasaan kosakata menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami sebuah konsep dan nama benda yang ada di sekitarnya. Untuk membantu kemampuan penguasaan kosakata siswa tunarungu, diperlukannya media pembelajaran yang menarik serta disesuaikan dengan karakteristik siswa tunarungu, salah satunya melalui pengembangan media video pembelajaran.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran berupa media VISI4ON (Video SIBI Four On) untuk membantu penguasaan kosakata siswa tunarungu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Develompent dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data hanya menggunakan expert review dan tidak dilakukan uji coba lapangan dikarenakan adanya pandemi Covid-19. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner kepada para ahli. Hasil penelitian diperoleh aspek kelayakan media dari ahli media pertama yaitu Dosen Teknologi Pendidikan sebesar 3,3 kategori baik, ahli media kedua yaitu Dosen Pendidikan Khusus sebesar 2,9 kategori cukup baik, ahli materi yaitu guru kelas sebesar 3,3 kategori baik, dan ahli ketunarunguan yaitu guru tunarungu sebesar 3,8 kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil review dari para ahli media ini mendapatkan hasil 3,3 termasuk dalam kategori baik. Jadi bisa disimpulkan jika media video ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu penguasaan kosakata siswa tunarungu. Deaf students experience problems in vocabulary mastery. A lack of vocabulary mastery may cause them to experience difficulty in understanding a concept and the names of objects around them. To help improving deaf students' vocabulary mastery skills, interesting learning media is needed and must be suitable with the characteristics of deaf students. One of the efforts to address this problem is by developing learning videos as media used in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to develop a learning media in the form of the VISI4ON (Video SIBI Four On) to assist deaf students’ vocabulary mastery skills. The type of this study was the research and development using the ADDIE model. For data collection, the researcher only used expert reviews. The researcher did not conduct field trials due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to experts. The results showed that the scores for the feasibility of the media were 3.3 from educational technology lecturers (classified in a good category), 2.9 from special education lecturers (classified in a sufficiently good category), 3.3 from class teachers (classified in a good category), and 3.8 from special teachers for deaf students (classified in a good category). Based on the results of reviews from experts, the media was classified in the good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that this learning video can be used as learning media to assist deaf students’ vocabulary mastery skills.
