Abstract

Disfemisme adalah penggunaan bahasa yang menyakitkan hati yang dapat menjadi alat untuk menyinggung orang lain atau dapat juga menjadi bentuk kemarahan dan keputusasaan. Deadpool adalah film yang menerapkan fourth wall breaker di mana Deadpool sebagai karakter utama yang seolah-olah dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan penonton. Namun, beberapa dari tuturannya menggunakan disfemisme. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui jenis dan fungsi disfemisme dalam film Deadpool dengan menggunakan teori Allan dan Burridge. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada enam jenis disfemisme dan tujuh fungsi disfemisme dalam naskah film Deadpool. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa ada 81 disfemisme dalam naskah film Deadpool. Posisi tertinggi pengguna ekspresi disfemisme itu terutama dituturkan oleh Deadpool dengan persentase (75%). Posisi kedua adalah Ajax dengan total 12 (15%) disfemisme dalam tuturannya. Sedangkan untuk tipe disfemisme, menyumpah dan memaki memiliki persentase tertinggi, 35,8%, kemudian menghina dan meremehkan 27,16%, menabukan 19,75%, penjulukan kasar 8,65%, mengutuk dan mencerca 4,93%, dan membandingkan orang dengan hewan 3,71%. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap fungsi disfemisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mengutuk memiliki persentase tertinggi (26%), diikuti oleh menantang (24,7%), menghina (23,4%), mengabaikan (8,4%), menyalahkan dan menuduh (7,4%), mengkritik (6,1%), mempertanyakan (3,7%). Persentase menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing tipe berjalan selaras dengan fungsinya. Dysphemism is the use of offensive language which can be used as a weapon by a speaker to against the hearer or it can also be used to release the speaker’s anger and frustation. Deadpool movie employs the fourth wall breaker in which Deadpool as the main character can speak directly to the audiences. Many of his utterances, however, use dysphemism. This study is conducted to find out the types of dysphemism and its functions in Deadpool movie script by using Allan and Burridge’s theory. This study employs descriptive analytical method. The results show there are six types of dysphemism, and seven functions of dysphemism in Deadpool movie script. The result of the study shows that there are 81 dysphemism in Deadpool movie script. Those dysphemism expressions are mainly spoken by Deadpool with the percentage (75%). The second place is Ajax with total 12 (15%) dysphemism in his utterances. As for the types of dysphemism, profane swearing and profane oaths has the highest percentage, 35,8%, then terms of insults or disrespect 27,16%, taboo terms 19,75%, dysphemistic epithets 8,65%, imprecations and epithets 4,93%, finally, comparisons of people with animals 3,71%. This study also reveals the functions of dysphemism. It shows that cursing has the highest percentage (26%), followed by expressing defiance (24,7%), insulting or teasing (23,4%), expressing unconcern (8,4%), accusing or blaming (7,4%), criticizing (6,1%) questioning (3,7%). The percentage shown that the dominant type of dysphemism becomes parallel with its function.
