Abstract
Penelitian ini berupa penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui data secara empiris apakah ada pengaruh penggunaan metode problem solving terhadap hasil belajar IPS pada siswa kelas V SDN di wilayah kelurahan Rawamangun Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Rawamangun 01 di jalan Taman Jelita Utara No.5 Rawamangun Jakarta Timur khususnya di kelas V semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2016-2017. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes hasil belajar. Dalam penelitian ini tes yang digunakan hanya tes obyektif yang berupa tes pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 20 soal. Instrumen tersebut kemudian dihitung uji normalitas data menggunakan uji liliefors menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji homogenitas yang menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas bersifat homogen. Setelah itu dianalisis dengan hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa t hitung sebesar 3,03 sedangkan harga t tabel pada taraf signifikan = 0,05 adalah sebesar 2,03. Artinya hipotesa nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis penelitian diterima (H1). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan metode problem solving terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SDN Rawamangun 01. This research was an experimental research. The research was aimed to determine empirically whether there are effects on the use of problem solving methods to the learning results of social studies on fifth graders of SDN Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This research was conducted at SDN Rawamangun 01 which was located on Jalan Taman Jelita No. 5 Rawamangun, East Jakarta. The research was done during the first semester in the academic year of 2016-2017. The samples were taken using simple random sampling technique.The collection of data was done using an achievement test as the instrument. In this study, the test was only objective test in the form of multiple-choice test that consisted of 20 questions. The instrument was then calculated using test data using Liliefors. Based on the test, it showed that both classes were distributed normally. After that, the homogeneity test was applied. From the test, it showed that both classes are homogeneous. After that, it was analyzed by using t-test hypotheses. The calculations showed that t gained 3.03, while the price of t table at significant level α = 0.05 is equal to 2.03. This means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the research hypothesis is accepted (H1). Thus it can be concluded that there is significant influence in applying problem solving methods on learning outcomes of social studies on fifth graders of SDN Rawamangun 01.
