Abstract
Penelitian ini berdasarkan identifikasi permasalahan pada promosi layanan perawatan rambut di Neo Salon, meliputi keterbatasan jangkauan media katalog konvensional, kurangnya daya tarik terhadap kategori konsumen remaja dan dewasa muda, serta minimnya pengalaman interaktif yang ditawarkan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media promosi katalog berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) yang efektif guna meningkatkan efektivitas promosi layanan rambut di Neo Salon. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), dengan implementasi pengembangan dengan platform Assemblr. Tahapan pengembangan meliputi konsep, desain, pengumpulan materi, assembly, testing, dan distribusi. Validasi kelayakan media dilaksanakan secara komprehensif pada tahap testing melalui asesmen oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan konsumen. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi menunjukkan skor 81.25%, mengklasifikasikan materi sebagai "Sangat Layak". Ahli media memberikan skor 92.4%, mengategorikan media sebagai "Sangat Layak". Penilaian konsumen melalui field test menunjukkan rata-rata skor keseluruhan 90.02%, berada dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Hal ini menunjukan bahwa Katalog AR Neo Salon berhasil menyelesaikan keterbatasan promosi sebelumnya melalui penyajian pengalaman interaktif, visualisasi menarik, serta relevan bagi konsumen. Hal ini sejalan dengan potensi AR yang mampu menyajikan media katalog digital yang interaktif, menarik, dan mudah diakses melalui perangkat handphone, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman layanan perawatan rambut di Neo Salon melalui visualisasi 3D. Dengan demikian, pengembangan katalog AR ini efektif dalam meningkatkan daya tarik promosi, memperluas jangkauan merek, dan meningkatkan ketertarikan konsumen. Kata Kunci: Augmented Reality, Katalog Digital, Promosi, Layanan Perawatan Rambut, Neo Salon. ***** This research is based on identified issues in the promotion of hair care services at Neo Salon, including the limited reach of conventional catalog media, insufficient appeal to teenage and young adult consumers, and the lack of interactive experiences. Therefore, this study aims to develop an effective Augmented Reality (AR)-based promotional catalog to enhance the effectiveness of service promotion. The research methodology adopts the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) framework, implemented through the Assemblr platform. The development stages include concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. Media feasibility validation was conducted comprehensively during the testing phase through assessments by material experts, media experts, and consumers. Validation results from material experts yielded a score of 81.25%, classifying the material as "Very Feasible." Media experts gave a score of 92.4%, also categorizing the media as "Very Feasible." Consumer assessment through field testing showed an overall average score of 90.02%, likewise falling into the "Very Feasible" category. These results collectively indicate that the Neo Salon AR Catalog successfully addressed previous promotional limitations by offering an interactive experience, engaging visuals, and consumer relevance. This aligns with AR’s potential to deliver interactive, engaging, and easily accessible digital catalog media via mobile devices, while enhancing knowledge and understanding of Neo Salon’s hair care services through 3D visualization. Thus, the development of this AR catalog has proven effective in increasing promotional appeal, expanding brand reach, and enhancing consumer interest.
