Abstract

Program Magang Generasi Bertalenta (MAGENTA) merupakan salah satu strategi Perum BULOG dalam menyiapkan dan menjaring sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi Program MAGENTA dalam menarik serta mempertahankan kandidat berkualitas di Perum BULOG. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap peserta magang dan pengelola program MAGENTA di Perum BULOG. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program MAGENTA dalam menarik dan mempertahankan kandidat berkualitas telah tercapai dengan seleksi yang baik dan retensi peserta MAGENTA menjadi karyawan. Namun, peserta MAGENTA mengalami kesenjangan dengan bidang kerja yang dilakukan. Selain itu, peserta mengalami keterbatasan dalam keterlibatan pengerjaan yang sesuai dengan tupoksi unit penempatan, sehingga pemanfaatan potensi peserta belum optimal. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program MAGENTA memiliki peran dalam menarik dan mempertahankan kandidat berkualitas, dengan fokus pada penyelesaian masalah mengenai penempatan bidang kerja dan pergantian peserta. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penyempurnaan dalam perencanaan penempatan, pemetaan kompetensi, serta pemberian peran yang lebih strategis kepada peserta magang agar tujuan program dapat tercapai secara maksimal. Kata Kunci : Evaluasi Program, Program MAGENTA, Ketidaksesuaian Kompetensi, Kandidat Berkualitas, Manajemen SDM *************** The Talented Generation Internship Program (MAGENTA) is one of Perum BULOG's strategies for preparing and attracting qualified human resources. This research aims to evaluate the MAGENTA Program in attracting and retaining qualified candidates at Perum BULOG. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected thru interviews, observations, and documentation from interns and program managers of MAGENTA at Perum BULOG. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the MAGENTA Program has been successful in attracting and retaining qualified candidates thru good selection and the retention of MAGENTA participants as employes. However, MAGENTA participants experienced a gap with the field of work they were doing. Additionally, participants experienced limitations in engaging in work that aligned with the job functions of their placement unit, resulting in sub-optimal utilization of their potential. The research conclusion indicates that the MAGENTA Program plays a role in attracting and retaining qualified candidates, with a focus on addressing issues related to job placement and participant turnover. Therefore, improvements are needed in placement planning, competency mapping, and assigning more strategic roles to interns so that the program's objectives can be achieved to the fullest extent.
