Abstract
Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan disiplin kerja karyawan pada Divisi Sistem Teknologi Informasi PT. XYZ, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat kedisiplinan kerja karyawan, serta menganalisis upaya yang dilakukan perusahaan dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk memberikan gambaran secara mendalam mengenai kondisi disiplin kerja karyawan. Pendekatan kualitatif ini didasarkan pada pengumpulan data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi, termasuk data kehadiran karyawan Divisi Sistem Teknologi Informasi selama satu bulan yang disajikan dalam bentuk grafik untuk menggambarkan tingkat kedisiplinan waktu secara empiris. Sementara itu, data sekunder diperoleh melalui buku, penelitian terdahulu, serta artikel ilmiah yang relevan dengan topik disiplin kerja. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini berasal dari transkrip wawancara dengan informan penelitian yang dipilih secara purposif. Informan tersebut terdiri dari karyawan yang menjalankan kedisiplinan kerja secara langsung serta pimpinan divisi yang memiliki kewenangan dalam melakukan pengawasan dan penegakan disiplin kerja. Pemilihan informan didasarkan pada pertimbangan pengalaman kerja, peran, serta pemahaman terhadap penerapan aturan kedisiplinan di lingkungan divisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan disiplin kerja karyawan pada Divisi Sistem Teknologi Informasi PT. XYZ belum sepenuhnya berjalan optimal, khususnya dalam aspek ketepatan waktu kehadiran dan konsistensi penerapan pengawasan. Meskipun demikian, disiplin kerja tetap memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kelancaran operasional divisi, terutama dalam mendukung koordinasi kerja, efisiensi waktu, serta pencapaian kinerja karyawan. Kata Kunci: Disiplin Kerja, Sumber Daya Manusia, Kehadiran Karyawan ***** The main objective of this study is to analyze the implementation of employee work discipline in the Information Technology Systems Division of PT XYZ, to identify the factors that influence the level of employee work discipline, and to analyze the efforts undertaken by the company to improve employee work discipline. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method aimed at providing an in-depth understanding of the condition of employee work discipline. The qualitative approach is based on the collection of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, including employee attendance data of the Information Technology Systems Division over a one-month period, which were presented in graphical form to empirically illustrate the level of time discipline. Meanwhile, secondary data were collected from books, previous studies, and scientific articles relevant to the topic of work discipline. The main data sources in this study consist of interview transcripts from research informants selected purposively. The informants include employees who directly practice work discipline as well as division leaders who have the authority to supervise and enforce work discipline. The selection of informants was based on considerations of work experience, roles, and understanding of the implementation of disciplinary regulations within the division. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of employee work discipline in the Information Technology Systems Division of PT XYZ has not yet been fully optimal, particularly in terms of punctuality of attendance and consistency of supervision. Nevertheless, work discipline still makes a positive contribution to the smooth operation of the division, especially in supporting work coordination, time efficiency, and the achievement of employee performance.
